Ricardo Tormo-Valencia
The circuit Ricardo Tormo (dedicated to the local rider who died in 1998) located in Cheste, just a few kilometers north of Valencia, was completed in 1999 and in the same year it hosted its first race.
It’s a circuit which effectively sits enclosed in the interior of a bowl so almost all the circuit can be visible from the grandstands that surround it.
While this makes it spectacular for the audience, for the rider this means that the track has many turns connected by short straights.
The stands contain up to 65,000 seats and its structure in the shape of the stadium allows each viewer to follow the entire race, without missing any of the action.
