Australia - Phillip Island

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit has a length of 4.445 meters, the start-finish straight is 835 m. This is the fastest point of the circuit: the MotoGP machines skim 315 km/h (195mph).

The first track where it ran at Phillip Island (although it was actually a natural trail, created around the airport) is dated 1928. Only in the 1950s did the real track finally see the light of day.

In 1989 the 500cc GP class race was held at Phillip Island once, but since 1997 the circuit has hosted the MotoGP World Championship.

This circuit is characterized by some very technical corners, elevation changes and the need for a punchy powerplant to exit the corners well.
